eCollege

International fiction

Penguin is a truly global brand with operations in fifteen countries, including India, China, Ireland and South Africa.

Booktime

Pearson is working with UK charity Booktrust to encourage primary school children and their parents to enjoy reading together.
In 2008, with support from the UK government's Department for Children, Schools and Families, Booktime gave over 750,000 free copies of Puffin’s Harry and the Dinosaurs Go to School by Ian Whybrow to 4 year olds in their first term of school. The books were delivered in a draw-string bag, along with a leaflet for parents and carers with tips and advice about reading to their children.

Children’s bestsellers

Penguin is home to some of the leading children’s book imprints.
Puffin publishes the most prestigious list of UK authors, including Eoin Colfer, Melvin Burgess, Meg Rosoff, Roald Dahl, Eric Carle, Janet and Alan Ahlberg, and Charlie Higson. Ladybird books are known and loved the world over, including childhood favourite Topsy and Tim. They bring back the golden days of childhood. Penguin’s Brands and Licensing division publishes some of the best-known children’s TV characters including In the Night Garden and Peppa Pig.
