English Adventure

Pearson Longman’s English Adventure has enlisted Disney characters to help children learn English.
It comes with images, music, songs and even Disney puppets, to add magic to the learning experience. The programme is now helping children learn English in over 60 countries, from Chile to Japan - with a little help from Donald Duck and Minnie Mouse.

Total English

Total English is Pearson Longman’s course for adult learners of English.
Total English is used by people learning English all around the world, especially in Europe, South America and South East Asia. The course comes with a DVD film bank which uses authentic film content covering everything from Shakespeare to Mr Bean, bringing real-life English language into the classroom. It also has a catch-up CD which provides support to students who’ve missed a lesson.

Market Leader

Market Leader is Pearson Longman’s bestselling English language course for tomorrow’s business executives.
It uses Financial Times content and articles to allow students to explore topical business issues, and is used by English language students all around the world, from Germany to Vietnam.

Intelligent Business

Intelligent Business is Pearson Longman’s English Language teaching programme based on content from The Economist.
Using authentic content from the current affairs journal it brings real life business topics to the business English classroom. The course comes with a choice of two books: the Skills Book, for students who already have some knowledge of business, and the Coursebook, for students who want to learn business skills at the same time as learning English.

Penguin Readers

Pearson Longman’s Penguin Readers are well-known works of fiction adapted for English language learners.
They take into account different reading levels and allow non-native learners of English to enjoy titles that they would find difficult to read in their original versions. The series was re-launched in 2007 with new cover designs and titles, including works by the best-selling crime novelist Agatha Christie.

International fiction

Penguin is a truly global brand with operations in fifteen countries, including India, China, Ireland and South Africa.
In 2008 Penguin was named Publisher of the Year in Canada and Australia, Trade Publisher of the Year in South Africa and won the major English language prizes in India’s national book awards. Penguin Classics, including works such as Jane Eyre and Oliver Twist, are published in Mandarin and Korean. As well as being India’s largest English language publisher, Penguin India publishes in several other languages including Hindi, Marathi and Urdu.

Interactive English

Longman English Interactive is an award-winning four level video-based programme for students learning English as a foreign language.
It’s now available online so that students can log in from home, from the language lab or anywhere with internet access. It is used by students all around the world, including members of the Chilean army who are based in the Antarctica and use it to study online with their Santiago-based instructor.
